Flamingo crazy

I'm obsessed with Flamingo prints this summer, it all started with this print dress from asos.com

I think it relates back to my love of anything 80's, Fashion, Music and of course that's the year I was born. Anyway this print has got me all crazy for bright Miami Vice inspired clothes, so I have lately purchased a bright pink blazer, a verity of bright slacks and anything relating to Flamingos which I adore.

Bringing the Flamingo print into your home this season couldn't be easier too, check out these amazing home accessories I stumbled across, starting with this duvet set from dwell.

Spring up your home this Spring

DIY this spring with some cheap and easy decorations for your home.

1- Easter egg paint chart bunting.

I found this on the net the other day and totally had to make it. Simply make a stencil of your desired image and draw around on the paint charts, aiming for between colours for the two colour look. Then tape the backs to the desired length of thread you want.

For this one I felt like a criminal in B&Q hanging around the paint charts, even though that's why they are there.

2- Flower wellies

If your like me and don't use your wellies that much in spring and summer months, don't hide them away reuse them as decoration around the home. I have reused my Joules wellingtons and planted them with some blossoms (make sure to use carrier bags to fill up with soil and not the boots, past experience there....oops)

3- Freshen up with some white accessories

It is what it is, an easy way to achieve a fresh clean look this spring with white home accessories.

DIY Easter tree

My first blog, so bare with me while I get use to this new edition to social networking.

Today I finished creating my Easter tree that is decorated with my handmade creations. All you need to create your own is :-
1x Jar
4x Packs of Mini Eggs (try not to eat them)
1x Branches
And decorate to your hearts content.

To create some quick and cheap decorations, simply make some salt dough and use some easter themed cookie cutters, and remember to make a hole in the decorations so you can thread the ribbon through.

Salt Dough:-
1 cup of plain flour
1 cup of salt
1 cup of water, added in small amounts.

Such a simple and cheap way to decorate your home this easter, even a great way to impress family and friends by using it as a table decoration.
